I previously posted about the best material for pontoon boat seats. Now I am trying to decide whether or not to reupholster or replace the seats. The cushion and support material within the seats is still sturdy and capable. Which is the most economic option? Reupholster vs replace? Any thoughts?

I don't have a ton of experience in this area, but it sounds to me like re-upholstering is the best option. I say this because the cushion and support material is still sturdy and holding up. One thing to consider is how long you intended to keep the boat. If only keeping for a few years then definitely re-upholster. However, if you plan to keep for the long haul, you may be better off replacing. Have more time for your return on investment.
